Occasionally people contact me via my website and share their experience.
I want to let readers know that this is not a protocol I would recommend. I doubt many practitioners would advise doing this method. I suspect they would recommend way more supporting supplements, even if they weren’t necessary.
This particular chap form Australia was severely toxic and after many years was wondering whether he would ever recover.
He had major gut issues and struggled to tolerate anything other than a few food groups. He was desperate and actually didn’t care at the time what the outcome was.
He took a punt and with some notes from the Australian Autism websites put together his protocol:
- DMSA suppositories every 4 hours for 3 days (starting with very small dose, 1 to 3 mgs, slowly ramping up until he found a maximum tolerable dose)
- minimum 11 days off between rounds
- no Alpha Lipoic Acid at any time
- no extra supplements – he did not believe in adding vitamins
- extremely nutritious diet as his gut was able to tolerate more.
Within 3 months he knew he’d hit pay-dirt and after 1 year he said he was in good health was training for a marathon. He did take a few weeks off after 6 months of chelation. If he felt run-down or weak he waited longer in between rounds.
This seems to be good to be true I have no reason to not believe him. Although inserting something up your bum at 11pm, 3am and 7am isn’t something I would look forward to. If DMPS was just as effective then 8 hours gaps would make life much easier.
No ALA surprises me. Perhaps he had very little intracellular toxicity or his cells pushed more toxicity out into the bloodstream as the blood levels came down. I don’t understand this so I’m not going to pretend I do. Andy Cutler says ALA has to be used at some point because it crosses the blood brain barrier and gets into the cells but people have got better without it.
Comparing this to the Andy Cutler protocol and recommended supplements you’ll find a big gap. Many thanks to Living Network in South Africa for providing this information:

Anyone who suspects they have a toxicity issue and are considering chelation therapy needs to do their own research and work along side an experienced practitioner before considering any protocol.
I hope you found this valuable and all the best with your own detox journey
