Some improvement – jeez, it took me over a year to tolerate the vitamins which allow me to tolerate the DMSA Chelation.
Note – i was aiming to do bugs first but since i am tolerating DMSA i will see how i go. You have one side saying you have to get rid of the bugs first, to make chelation easier, which makes sense. But then others say the bugs won’t go until you remove the metals, which also makes sense, so it’s really up to the individual doing some trial and error.
I’m anti-vitamins; I wouldn’t be taking them otherwise. I have discussed them in earlier posts. They are customised for me, and they work. If you want to take vitamins and just want the basics then I’d advise what Dr Cutler advises. If you’d rather take none then just start with small doses of DMSA or DMPS or ALA. Some people are on 1mg! This might be me if I wasn’t on the supporting vitamins.
My current “rounds” are 6.5 mg of DMSA, every 3.5 to 4 hours, for 3 to 4 days. It is knocking me around a bit but it’s tolerable so this is fine. Diet has been crucial – nothing sugary or too carby. Sometimes I have a good round, the first two were quite tough but doable. I try to go into them feeling as strong as possible (relatively strong, like a weak strong, not a weak weak, because you can just get a lot worse.) If you are constantly weak, you might just have to start and stop the round when feeling crappy. Wait a few days to a week, then try again. It should get easier.
The good old coffee enemas have also been very handy on day 3 and 4 if I’m struggling. I’m a little over doing these but they are effective, and cheap, and i don’t have to go anywhere. These aren’t everyone’s cup of tea (excuse the pun), some use Epsom Salts Baths, skin brushing, hot showers, gentle excercise, staying occupied. Sometimes just staying on the move works as sitting or lying down can make things worse.
I keep referring to the great chelation book – “The Mercury Detoxification Manual”. It’s a real science getting chelation right
All the best for everyone else out there doing chelation – just keep knocking out those rounds.
